New Romances, Relationship Rumors & a Runaway Bride: Netflix Announces New Season of ‘Love Is Blind’; Meet the Cast & Watch the First Trailer

“…especially if there’s no one in the other pod for you to talk to.”

A new crop of singles are heading to the pods in the hope of finding love “sight unseen” when Love Is Blind returns next month for Season 8.

Netflix released the official trailer for the upcoming season this week, introducing fans to the 32 singles from Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota, who will be searching for love, sipping from golden goblets and potentially walking down the aisle within just weeks of meeting each other through a wall.

The Season 8 cast consists of 16 men and 16 women between the ages of 26 and 43 and includes multiple realtors and nurses, an artist, a cinematographer, a dentist, a wine bar owner and more.

As fans of the Netflix series may remember, following multiple casting missteps that occurred in Season 6 of ‘Love Is Blind,’ the show’s creator ensured viewers that the vetting process is “diligent” and that the show is committed to finding contestants who are “genuine” and single, so the 32 cast members appearing on Season 8 were presumably unattached at the time of filming.

The Season 8 trailer begins with one of the contestants, 31-year-old Meg, predicting that she and (most of) the other singles will leave the ‘Love Is Blind’ experiment with a connection and a fiancé, despite the odds being very much not in her– or anyone’s– favor.

“I think half of us could leave here engaged,” Meg says, before going on to compare the dating show to the Hunger Games.

“Or, ya know, an invite to be on Perfect Match!”

Meanwhile, 30-year-old Daniel explains to one of his pod dates why finding love “sight unseen” means so much to him personally.

“My sister was born blind, she just loves people without seeing them,” he says. “If I could just be a little bit like her, that’d be cool.”

In true ‘Love Is Blind’ fashion, Season 8 will also include plenty of pod drama as some of the contestants set their sights on the same person, including 31-year-old Lauren, who accuses another female contestant of “trying to date the person that I want to marry.”

“That sucks,” she adds.

For you? Yes. For viewers? Definitely not.

Once the proposals and (often-awkward) reveals happen, the paired-off partners will enjoy a tropical getaway before returning to reality where they’re met with friction from family, friends and in some cases, former significant others.

In the Season 8 trailer, one contestant is warned by a family member that the suitor she selected is not her type, to which the constant argues, “that’s the whole point.” We also see 29-year-old Sara confront her partner about a suspicious TikTok exchange, according to People.

Me, hearing these adults argue over TikTok drama…

“This girl on TikTok who’s crying … I need you to tell me everything,” Sara says to her partner.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old Madison is accused of having a boyfriend prior to entering the pods– aka “pulling a Trevor– a claim she refutes by accusing another contestant of being “a huge liar.”

As the couples’ respective wedding days approach, 29-year-old Devin finds issue with his fiance requesting a prenup, while another groom is seemingly left at the altar after a bride is seen hightailing it to a getaway car outside the venue.

Giannina ran so that this contestant could ALSO run…

“Get me out of here!” the mystery bride shouts.

‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 premieres February 14 on Netflix. Check out the trailer for the new season below!
