Kristen Doute Slams Lisa Vanderpump for “Enabling” James Kennedy’s Abusive Behavior: “Absolutely & Disgustingly Diabolical”

“This not OK, LVP!”

Trigger Warning: This story contains descriptions of domestic violence.

Kristen Doute of The Valley slammed her former boss and Vanderpump Rules matriarch Lisa Vanderpump this week for “enabling” her ex-boyfriend James Kennedy’s abusive behavior, less than a month after James was arrested for domestic violence.

“Lisa’s gonna Lisa…probably while carrying a small dog and showing off her pink bra.”

As The Ashley previously reported, cops were called to James’ home in December for a reported domestic disturbance. On scene, James’ live-in girlfriend Ally Lewber told police, according to the police report, that her “boyfriend lifted her up and threw her to the ground.” Earlier this month, James’ attorney confirmed that James will not face charges for the incident, as an investigation by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office reportedly determined there were “no grounds for any charges to be filed.”

While James and Ally have since parted ways and James has vowed to prioritize his sobriety, Lisa claimed in a new interview with Us Weekly that James “didn’t hurt [Ally] categorically,” and insisted that Ally even “regrets what happened with how this blew up.” The restauranteur also told the outlet that the situation occurred between the now-former couple because they were “both being ridiculous and arguing,” and that Ally only had James arrested to “teach him a lesson.”

In response to the shocking claims, Kristen posted a screenshot of the article to her Instagram Story on Friday, calling Lisa’s comments “absolutely and disgustingly diabolical.”

“I will never, ever be okay with this constant abuse enabling behavior,” Kristen wrote. “To have the audacity to dumb down not only facts, but also feelings, makes me sick to my stomach. To every woman who is a survivor of [domestic violence] and wasn’t believed or supported, I’m so sorry.”

Kristen later shared a quote on her Instagram Story that also seemed to be directed at Lisa.

“The best way to spot an idiot – look for the person who is cruel,” Kristen wrote alongside the quote.

As you may remember, both Kristen and James’ ex-fiancé Rachel Leviss have previously spoken out about the violence they each claim to have suffered at James’ hand during their respective relationships with the DJ. Kristen and Rachel also reacted to James’ arrest back in December, with Kristen posting a screenshot of TMZ’s headline about the arrest accompanied by the word “FINALLY,” and Rachel issuing a statement through her attorneys.

“This news is, unfortunately, not surprising,” Rachel’s legal team told TMZ last month, adding that James has a “long history of erratic, violence behavior and substance abuse.”

As The Ashley told you last month, former Bachelor star Nick Viall also addressed James’ arrest on his podcast, calling out those who have seemingly made an effort over the years to keep James’ alleged history of domestic violence from becoming more public– including Lisa, whom he mentioned by name.

“I can’t believe people are finally calling you out for your actions, dear…”

“It’s just shocking how much this has been swept under the rug,” Nick said on his The Viall Files podcast. “And it’s still being– where is Lisa Vanderpump? Lisa? It’s gross.”

Nick went on to point out that it was “very easy to hold Lisa Vanderpump accountable,” adding that he believed Lisa was “complicit in this cover-up of James’ behavior.”

“ … She’s in a position of power and for her to not say anything? I don’t want to put anyone else [from the show] under fire, because I don’t know what they knew or how close they were [to James],” Nick added. “But Lisa? I think it’s gross that Lisa hasn’t said anything.”

“…and after your latest comments, we’re collectively even MORE grossed out, Lisa.”

Lisa never responded to Nick’s comments, nor has she responded to Kristen’s recent Instagram Story.
