Next week’s episode of The Flip Off will feature not one, but two of Christina Haack’s ex-husbands, as Ant Anstead joins the series as a guest judge.
Following Wednesday’s episode of the HGTV series, fans got a sneak peek at what– or rather who– to expect in the upcoming fourth episode, with Christina revealing that she had chosen to bring her formerly estranged ex-husband Ant on to judge the next round of renovation competition between herself and her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and Tarek’s wife Heather.
Upon Christina revealing her judge selection to her competitors, Heather responded with, “What?” as Tarek added, “Oh my god.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Christina and Ant tied the knot in 2018, only to split less than two years later in 2020. The exes, who share a son named Hudson, finalized their divorce in 2021. The following year, Christina married Josh Hall, who was originally slated to appear on ‘The Flip Off’ until he and Christina split in July 2024, after which Josh was booted from the series.

As the preview for next week’s episode of ‘The Flip Off’ continued on Wednesday, fans got to see Christina and Ant interacting during the judging process, with Ant calling out his ex for some of the errors he noticed in the house she’s flipping.
“The small details in here are really driving me crazy,” Ant says, as reported by People, to which Christina responds, “Like…?”
“The paint is missing in the corner there,” Ant tells her. “That isn’t finished correctly.”
While Christina enlisting Ant to join ‘The Flip Off’ may seem like a ploy to drum up ratings, it’s worth noting that the British TV host is currently starring in his own home renovation show in the United Kingdom, so he does have some knowledge when it comes to renovation.
Still, both Tarek and Heather told People in an interview last month that they were shocked to learn that Christina had brought another ex-husband to the HGTV series– even more so as they were reportedly under the impression that Ant and Christina weren’t even on speaking terms.
“All of a sudden they’re besties,” Tarek said of seeing Ant and Christina interacting on set, with Heather claiming it “really threw us off” to see the two together.
“[Christina] started following [Ant] on Instagram and we were like, ‘What? What’s going on?’ It really was like that for us,” Heather recalled. “You see it transpire on TV and we’re so thrown off by the situation. I think we texted her, ‘Why are you following Ant? What’s going on?’”
As for Christina, she admitted to the outlet that she had ulterior motives when selecting some of the guest judges on ‘The Flip Off.’
“I feel like some of [the judges] that I picked were just to mess with [Tarek],” she said. “It worked.”
