‘Sister Wives’ Star Robyn Brown Has Allegedly Spent Over $60k on Homemade Doll Clothing

Me, after learning about Robyn’s doll collection.

If you thought Kody Brown’s only remaining wife Robyn Brown was spending her family’s money on random artwork and purple home decor, you’re wrong; the Sister Wives star is also dropping a staggering amount of money on handmade doll clothing.

No, seriously.

After Robyn’s love of gaudy Etsy crafts was reportedly called out on the Sister Wives: Love Should Be Multiplied Not Divided podcast’s Patreon, a number of Reddit users began a deep dive into Robyn’s Etsy account, which revealed hundreds of reviews for pricey doll clothing and accessories that she has purchased over the last five years. When her purchases were added up, it was revealed that the ‘Sister Wives’ big spender has shelled out over $60,000 for handmade specialty doll clothing and accessories in just three years!

Kody DOES give Raggedy Andy vibes, so this kind of tracks.

Robyn seemingly spares no expense when it comes to her 18-inch American Girl doll friends, spending hundreds of dollars on various ensembles for her collection, including multiple “1800s Victorian” looks– some even custom-made specifically for Robyn. (While Robyn’s nine-year-old daughter Ariella is into the dolls too, Robyn makes it very clear in some of her reviews that a lot of these purchases are for her own collection, not Ariella’s.)

PLEASE tell us Robyn bought herself a matching outfit…

“Stunning! I love the purple and maroon color combination,” Robyn commented on one of her purchases (that happened to cost a cool $578…for doll clothes). “It is well made and beautifully coordinated. The materials used are high quality and lovely. There are so many accessories and pieces that just complete this outfit. The shop owner is a pleasure to work with as well.”

OF COURSE she finds the purple outfit “stunning.”

Robyn’s Etsy footprint shows that she favors and purchases from multiple shops on the website, contributing to what appears to be her very large– and expensive– collection.

But wait– there’s more! (Like, SO much more.)

According to one Reddit user, Robyn has made nearly 500 doll-related purchases in the last six years and that she made more than 100 Etsy transactions in general in 2024 alone. In some of the reviews left by Robyn for her doll purchases, she revealed that at least one of her older daughters is also involved in the doll-collecting obsession.

“My 20-year-old daughter oohed and aahed at this outfit,” Robyn wrote in a review posted in 2024. (Robyn’s daughter Breanna is currently 20 so we can assume she is the “daughter” who Robyn was writing about here.)  In another review, Robyn mentions that her mother is also taking part in the doll-a-polooza.

Robyn’s (alleged) Etsy obsession isn’t limited to doll fashion; Robyn has also left a plethora of reviews for various home decor items, holiday decorations, handmade gifts and multiple “junk journals” like the one she gifted Meri Brown as a going away present on ‘Sister Wives.’

Robyn, ratting herself out for being a junk-journal junkie…

Robyn admits in one of her reviews that she is “absolutely addicted” and has purchased “several” of these journals, which cost more than $100 each.

“I rilly wish you would’ve just given me the cash instead.”

The discovery of Robyn’s exorbitant Etsy spending comes just weeks after her former sister wife Janelle Brown opened up about Kody’s spending habits during “the last several years” of their marriage.

“ … Kody would just take out funds and I don’t know what for, and the money was just being spent– and lots of it,” Janelle stated.

Janelle, worrying about her finances while Robyn is dressing dolls in $600 Victorian gowns…

In response to Janelle’s comments, Kody argued that he had financial responsibilities to many people in the family, not just Janelle.

“I was a father to 18 and a husband to more than just Janelle, so we had a lot of places that money needed to go that weren’t always Janelle’s business,” he said.

“And that’s just counting the dolls!”

Gwendlyn Brown— the daughter of Kody and his ex-third-wife, Christine— opened up in a 2023 YouTube video about her dad and Robyn’s tendency to spend a ridiculous amount of money.

“I think that my dad and Robyn have a terrible habit of, like, spending very crazy and not within their means at all,” Gwendlyn said.

In the same video, Gwendlyn predicted that Christine, Janelle and Meri would all be in a much-better place, money-wise, now that they’re no longer tied to Kody, Robyn (and Robyn’s gaggle of well-dressed American Girl dolls).

“They’ll probably be a lot better off now that they’re no longer with him, and they’re no longer financially tied to him because they still make a lot of money separately,” she said.

Christine, after finding out she had to pay for her daughter Ysabel’s surgery solo while Kody’s other wife was spending thousands on doll crap…

As The Ashley previously told you, Robyn and Kody purchased that Flagstaff home in August 2019 for $890,000 and they sold the residence in November for nearly $1.8 million. Shortly before selling the home, the couple majorly upgraded from their Mountain Mansion by purchasing a 7,884 square-foot home in Flagstaff for $2.1 million.

The inside of Kody and Robyn’s new house: plenty of room for ugly art, neon signs and Robyn’s massive doll collection.

Good for her. Rub it in. Maybe she is starting a “Tiny Sister Wives Closet” so Meri can sell MLM leggings to other doll owners while telling them about how she got catfished.

Is any one really surprised? She has a shopping addiction. And, apparently so do her “Flowers in Attic” children. Janelle, Mary and Christine paid off her $30K+ store (Target, Sears) credit card debt when she “joined” the family. They’ll just file for bankruptcy, as you do, when you live beyond your means and “invest” in get rich quick schemes. I wish Janelle well but I live somewhere with commerical fruit and flower farms and she doesn’t have a clue how labor intensive and expensive it is to run a successful farm. No wonder the family “finances” were and are a hot mess. If bankruptcy is your back up plan what could possibly go wrong.

I had the same reaction about the flower farm. I live in southern Virginia and there are tons of insects, and plant diseases not to mention heat and humidity. I think Janelle will be in for a rude awakening. The heat in the south is nothing like Nevada or Arizona.

$60k?!! Holy f! That’s an insane amount of money for a hobby. Doing the math, it is almost $1700 per month. That’s the cost of my rent lol.

I thought something was kind of wrong with her before, but now it’s obviously there’s something seriously wrong. How can she sleep at night knowing she married into a family of 18 yet spends this kind of money? Totally immoral – and she calls herself religious!

I hope TLC drops these two and rebrands it as “Sister Exes.” Then we’ll start to see all this crap up for sale as they go broke.

They way Robyn was so condescending about saying she budgets better than Janelle and blah blah blah. While wasting $60K on dolly dresses.

I want to bet that Kody didn’t even know until it was reported a couple of days ago and has been cutting up her credit cards for the last couple of days.

I’ll own that I still have my American Doll collection from childhood (in my home office because they creep my husband out)…but WTF?! She knows they come with clothes… right? Why go to Etsy? They are expensive enough from American Doll. When I was a kid I’d get exactly ONE new outfit for ONE of my dolls at Christmas. I’ve only spent money as an adult on a single doll once and that was to repair my first doll because my cat is an asshole and knocked it off the shelf. How does she live with herself? Kids needed surgery, her kids need therapy for all that anxiety she gave them, people in that family had to use state assistance to survive… and this trick is spending this amount of money ON DOLLS. The exes need to sue these dickheads. Take that new mansion from these users.

I applaud this comment, and many others here. Sobbyn is beyond selfish; she’s an evil witch. She should collect voodoo dolls, because she’s cursed the OG 3 and their children, to live with HER DEBT. Kootie has no balls to rein in this spendaholic.

$30k in one year JUST on etsy doll clothes. $75k in the past 3 years JUST on etsy doll clothes.
Not to mention that’s ONE website. She also shops elsewhere online and is often spotted at the mall.
She’s a big QVC shopper as well, many of the items, dishes, and collections in her house are from QVC.
She’s got a big collection of Hummels which are $$$, Precious Moments, and Snowbabies.
Don’t forget the Dickens village $$$.
Even if allll the hundreds of thousands of $$ on the “art” is Kody’s, even if the $14k phoenix on the counter is Kody’s, even if the $8k little bear figurines are Kody’s, she is absolutely out of control.
I don’t care how much money you have, spending like this, on items like this is insane.
She admitted on the show she used to have a spending problem and insisted that during her divorce she stopped that….lies, lies, lies.

Remember when they were buying the houses in Vegas and they didn’t think she’d be approved because of all of her bad debt?

      Must be nice, huh?

So Christine had to save up to pay for Ysabells surgery by herself all while Robyn was dropping this kind of money on nonsense? It’s just so crazy to me that Robyn doesn’t work like the other women did, had a nanny, and just spends money without a care in the world while the other women were struggling.

Kody has made the choice to neglect his other children. The worst was his turning his back on Ysabel’s need for back surgery. Apparently Robyn and her dolls were more important. And Robyn, she knows how to work Kody. He is just to damn dumb to see it or admit it. The 2 of them will crash and burn if TLC ever puts and end to their ridiculous show. To be honest with you, all the money in the world would not make me be a part of him and his “love should be multiplied, not divided” lifestyle.
