Back in September, Sammi revealed that she was going through IVF. Although she was initially hesitant to share her IVF journey in such a public way, she ultimately decided to allow MTV cameras to document her story for Season 7, revealing on the show that she has endometriosis, which made it more difficult for her to get pregnant.

During the Season 7 Reunion, Sammi revealed that the decision to go public with her struggles to become pregnant proved to be beneficial for herself, as well as others.

“I actually cannot believe how many people are suffering or going through similar situations as me,” Sammi said. “It’s kind of overwhelming in a good way. It’s helping me out, I’m learning some things from other people’s experiences and maybe my experience can help other people dealing with the same thing as me.”

Sammi and Justin got engaged in March 2024, with footage of the proposal being aired on ‘Family Vacation.’

Before that, though, Sammi suffered a miscarriage after a failed round of IVF. Sammi opened up about the devastating miscarriage during a November episode of ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation.’

“This has been a very long process. It’s been a lot of shots, it’s been a lot of hormones,” she stated during a confessional. “Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away. It’s devastating for me.”

Sammi praised Justin for his support during the difficult IVF journey.

“He’s so positive and uplifting,” she said. “He’s so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He’s been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him.”

Sammi’s ‘Jersey Shore’ co-stars showered her and Justin with congratulatory messages in the comment section of their pregnancy announcement post.

“SSOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH!” wrote Angelina Pivarnik.

“My heart is so happy for you both!” commented Lauren Sorrentino. “Congratulations!”

“So excited for you two! Love you,” wrote Deena Cortese “You[‘re] going to be the best mommy!”

“I’m crying all over again! Congratulations,” Jenni Farley gushed.

Even Sammi’s once-estranged ex-boyfriend Ronnie Ortiz-Magro “liked” Sammi’s announcement post, prompting some fans to “joke” that the baby is actually Ronnie’s, something a few fans attempted to squash.

“That ain’t my kid, yo!”

“Ron liked the post. I’m sure he is genuinely happy for her,” one person wrote. “They moved on, everyone else should too.”

This will be the first baby for both Sammi and Justin. They have not yet revealed if they’re having a boy or a girl.

Sammi’s baby will be the 13th kid to be born to the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast. Mike and Lauren Sorrentino have three kids (Romeo, Mia and Luna), as does Snooki and her husband Jionni LaValle (Lorenzo, Giovanna and Angelo). Jenni “Jwoww” Farley has two kids (daughter Meilani and son Greyson) with her ex-husband Roger Mathews, while Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has one daughter (Ariana) with his ex Jen Harley. Deanna Cortese has two sons (CJ and Cameron) with her husband Chris Buckner. DJ Pauly D has a daughter, Amabella.

  1. Why aren’t they married? Maybe this is a dumb thing to notice but they have been doing IVF for years, why not tie the knot at some point? Even if it’s just a courthouse wedding during this process? I’m not judging, I married after two kids but I didn’t really care about marriage and just wanted the benefits so I did it. But it just seems strange that you’d be trying this hard for a baby but no ring

    1. Because marriage is an outdated institution and some people just don’t find it that big of a deal. It’s a piece of paper that doesn’t guarantee anything except maybe filing your taxes differently. Heck, most benefits can still be shared with domestic partners these days. I have 3 kids, we did end up getting married eventually but I never changed my name and most people don’t even know we got married because literally nothing changed

      1. You just said you married for the “benefits.” Do you think that makes it sound more appealing to people? You also you say you don’t “care” about marriage. Then you talk like marriage matters.
