Former Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska and husband Cole DeBoer have nabbed another gig with HGTV– and another reason to keep ignoring calls from MTV.
As The Ashley told you last year, HGTV announced in September that its fan-favorite home renovation competition series Rock the Block would be returning in 2025 for Season 6 and that Chelsea and Cole, the hosts of Down Home Fab, would be joining the cast. This week, the network revealed that the new season of ‘Rock the Block’ will premiere April 14.
In the upcoming season, Chelsea and Cole– and other HGTV designers and personalities– will be given a budget of $250,000 to renovate nearly identical homes located on the same block in an area right outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, using their signature design style.

In addition to bragging rights, the winners of Season 6 will receive a street in the neighborhood named in their honor, as well as a donation made on their behalf to No Kid Hungry.
The new season of the HGTV series will raise the stakes by having two veteran teams return to ‘Rock the Block’ to challenge two rookie teams, with Chelsea and Cole competing as part of the latter team.
Joining Chelsea and Cole as rookies for Season 6 are “house-flipping experts” Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama of Renovation Aloha. The Season 6 veterans include designer Alison Victoria of Windy City Rehab, designer/former ‘Rock the Block’ champ Michel Smith Boyd of Luxe for Less, and brothers/New Kids on the Block bandmates Jonathan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer) and Jordan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp).

HGTV star Ty Pennington of Battle on the Beach will return to host for what he is calling “the toughest home renovation competition on television.”
“I have the best seat in the house to the toughest home renovation competition on television,” Ty told HGTV. “And for the first time on ‘Rock the Block,’ returning veteran teams will clash with rookie teams who will have something to prove. They’ll test their skills and push their limits for not only bragging rights but, more importantly, to leave a legacy on the block.”
The new season of ‘Rock the Block’ will kick off with a two-hour premiere, during which teams will plan and construct their home’s kitchen, dining and living room areas, while “incorporating desirable elements that will up the value and appeal to potential buyers.”
The season premiere will also introduce teams to this season’s twist: expert judges will be touring the finished spaces without the teams. These judges will reveal their identities and provide honest assessments of the layouts and design choices at each weekly judging.
This season’s blind judges include designer Bobby Berk (Queer Eye), Mina Starsiak Hawk (Good Bones), former ‘Rock the Block’ winner Jasmine Roth (Help! I Wrecked My House); designers Ray and Eilyn Jimenez (Divided by Design), designer Kim Myles (Battle on the Mountain), sisters and former ‘Rock the Block’ winners Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis (Unsellable Houses) and home renovation expert Jonathan Scott (Property Brothers, Celebrity IOU).
The new season of ‘Rock the Block’ premieres Monday, April 14, on HGTV.
As The Ashley previously told you, Chelsea and Cole are also set to return for another season of ‘Down Home Fab’ this year. HGTV announced in July that the couple’s renovation series had been renewed for a third season, which is set to premiere this spring.

Chelsea has no fashion sense whatsoever and is just making bank off her fans from her Teen Mom days. She’s a one-trick pony with nothing but animal prints, black, gray and cow horns.
Jenelle? Is this you??
