‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown & Other Family Members Post Tributes to Garrison Brown on One-Year Anniversary of His Death

Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of suicide.

Members of the Brown Family took to social media on Wednesday to pay tribute to Garrison Brown, son of Kody and Janelle Brown, on the one-year anniversary of his death.

As fans of Sister Wives know, Garrison died by suicide March 5, 2024, at the age of 25.

His mother Janelle was among the first in the Brown family to acknowledge the one-year anniversary of Garrison’s death on Wednesday, taking to Instagram to share a photo of her late son along with a heartfelt message.

“I stay busy but in EVERY quiet moment you are first and foremost in my thoughts,” she wrote. “It’s been a year baby. We miss you so much. I miss you so much.”

Janelle went on to encourage those reading her caption to consider making a donation to their local animal shelter, rescue or humane society, reminding followers that rescuing animals was a cause that was “close to Garrison’s heart,” as all three of his cats were adopted from shelters.

She also included information for anyone who may be “in crisis,” asking that they call, text or chat with the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (988) or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting “TALK” to 741741.

Garrison’s older sister Maddie Brown shared a trio of snapshots to her Instagram– one of herself and Garrison as adults, one of the two of them as children and another of Garrison with two of her children. In her caption, Maddie noted that it has been “a whole 365 days without” Garrison.

“Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you, Garrison,” she wrote. “In the quiet moments between the noise of life, I think of you often. I hope and pray that you’ve found peace, rest and the comfort that eluded you here.

“Until we meet again, little brother,” she added.

Paedon Brown, son of Kody and ex-wife Christine Brown, echoed Maddie’s sentiments, commenting, “Until we meet again” on her post. Paedon also shared tributes from his mom, sister and Janelle to his Instagram Story.

Christine honored Garrison’s memory with a carousel of various photos and telling followers how much Garrison is missed.

“I found a video of Garrison helping me move and watched it so many times,” Christine wrote. “My heart aches without him and every photo, video, memory, joke, story with him in it is infinitely more precious than ever. God, I miss him. I can’t believe he’s been dead for a year.”

Leon Brown, the only child of Kody and ex-wife Meri Brown, also honored Garrison on Wednesday by reposting a series of photos they had originally shared after Garrison’s death, along with an updated message.

“I miss you more each passing day,” Leon wrote. “It doesn’t get easier, it just gets longer.”

Mykelti Brown also paid tribute to her late brother by posting photos of him to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday.

“It’s been a year without you, little bro! Miss you,” she wrote.
