When we last saw ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ cast, friendships were on the fray, (at least two) relationships were on the rocks, cast member Whitney Levitt was serving her family questionable baked goods and most viewers were still trying to figure out what Demi Engemann and her husband REALLY did with those Fruity Pebbles.

Hulu announced this week that Whitney, Demi and the rest of the ladies from Season 1– Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley and Mikayla Matthews– will make their return to TV in May for Season 2, which is promising to be “bigger than ever.”

“The scandalous world of Mormon #MomTok is back and bigger than ever,” Hulu’s synopsis for Season 2 reads. “When an original swinger from their infamous sex scandal makes a surprise return, friendships threaten to unravel as secrets, lies, and allegations explode. In a battle for the soul of #MomTok, will betrayal shatter the sisterhood, or will the truth set them free?”
While the entire cast from Season 1 will return for Season 2, newcomer Miranda McWhorter will also join the show for the upcoming season. For those unfamiliar with Miranda, she’s been part of the MomTok group for a while, but opted not to appear on Season 1 of the series.
As referenced in the Season 2 synopsis, Miranda was also involved in the “soft swinging” scandal that launched ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.’

As The Ashley previously told you, Miranda’s ex-husband, Chase McWhorter, confirmed last September that when he and Miranda were still married, they took part in the “soft swinging” that went on within the MomTok community.
While Taylor first came forward online in 2022 about being involved in the, umm…festivities, many of the women on ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ have denied being part of the swinging scene. Miranda’s ex-husband seemed to back these claims last year, claiming that Whitney, Jen, Jessi, Layla and Mayci were never involved in the soft swinging, nor were they ever present at any of the parties where the soft swinging activities went down. He did, however, reveal that Demi and her husband, Bret Engemann, were in attendance for some of the parties, but insisted that they were just “hanging out” and “didn’t cross any lines.”
In Hulu’s new trailer for Season 2 of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,’ viewers get to see MomTok react in real-time in Miranda’s on-camera debut.
“Is that Miranda?” someone in the group asks, to which another adds, “Wait, that’s the girl that was swinging with Taylor?!”

The Season 2 teaser also shows Whitney wondering where she stands with the rest of MomTok, following a tumultuous Season 1.
“They’re holding grudges because…I don’t even know why,” Whitney says of her former friend group.

Fans can also expect another serving of drama, courtesy of Taylor and her (most-recent) baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen, as well as a predictably bad attempt at groveling, featuring Jen’s husband, Zac Affleck.

Viewers are also in for a pregnancy announcement(s) and another appearance from the police.
Season 2 of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ premieres May 15 on Hulu. Watch the first trailer below.
