Mama June: Family Crisis returns this summer with a new season full of family drama, courtesy of Mama June Shannon and Co.
“This May, ‘Mama June’ is back with big money, big drama and big trouble,” the newly released trailer states, with June’s daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson adding, “It’s gonna be a hot mess summer!”
According to the just-released trailer, topics to be discussed include Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon‘s divorce from Josh Efird, as well as the ongoing money issues between Alana and June.
The trailer for upcoming season kicks off with Mama June proudly proclaiming that the “dysfunctionality works for our family,” only for the rest of the trailer to suggest just the opposite.
In the new season, Mama June will be confronted by Alana about their ongoing money dispute, with Alana ultimately demanding that June pay her the money she believes she is owed.
“The check is right here,” June tells Alana, before producing an oversized check fit for a charity presentation.
In response to June handing over the comically large check for $30,000, Alana tells viewers, “this isn’t a game.”
As the trailer continues, Pumpkin informs her family that she and husband Josh are getting a divorce– an announcement that leaves Alana, June and June’s husband, Justin Stroud, visibly shocked.
As The Ashley previously reported, Pumpkin and Josh divorced in September after six years of marriage and welcoming four children together. Pumpkin has since moved on to boyfriend Darrin Kitchens, who, in addition to having multiple children of his own, married and divorced the same woman three times and previously dated Keely Miller, who was dating Josh as of last summer.

As if this situation weren’t confusing enough already, Darrin and Josh happen to be cousins and Keely welcomed a baby in 2024 that may be Darrin’s.
(Despite Pumpkin and Josh’s relationships seemingly being the literal definition of “reality TV gold,” neither Darrin nor Keely appear in the trailer for the new season. It’s likely, though, that at least Darrin will be featured on upcoming episodes.)
The trailer for the new season of ‘Mama June: Family Crisis’ does, however, tease some major legal issues within the family, as someone warns one of the cast members that, “the judge could really sentence you to prison.”

I wonder if it’s going to cover Pumpkin selling temu items for three times the original price, calling them originals, taking orders, going on vacation with the money from those orders, and then never shipping the products? Seriously, this all happened in November/December. Not watching. I’m not interested in lazy, child neglecting scammers.
