‘The Valley’ Star Brittany Cartwright Confirms Her Bar, Britt’s WeHo, Isn’t Opening: “I’m Pretty Upset About It”

“Much like me and Jax havin’ a long and happy marriage, this bar ain’t happenin’, y’all.”

Brittany Cartwright’s dream of being a bar “owner” is being put on ice.

On the latest episode of her When Reality Hits podcast, The Valley star provided an update on the status of “her” bar, Britt’s WeHo, telling listeners that plans for the establishment had recently fallen through, much to her surprise.

“They sold Rocco’s [Tavern], which was what Britt’s was connected to, and you know, it’s all part of the same thing,” Brittany said. “The partners straight up sold it, didn’t tell me that they were going to sell it, didn’t communicate with me, whatsoever.”

“Y’all couldn’t even bother to send the star of your bar a text?!”

As The Ashley previously reported, Brittany announced last year on her podcast that she was getting her own bar in West Hollywood, just a few doors down from TomTom and near her former employer, SUR– both of which are owned by Lisa Vanderpump.

The bar, which was slated to open in March, would have been connected to Rocco’s Tavern in West Hollywood, similar to Jax’s Studio City– the establishment “owned” by Brittany’s estranged husband, Jax Taylor, which opened in 2023 next to another Rocco’s Tavern location.

…Per Jax Taylor and Jax Taylor only.

According to Brittany, her namesake bar was “completely decorated” at the time that Rocco’s was sold, though she later backtracked in the podcast episode, claiming that “new stuff” and other decorations for the establishment had been ordered back in January and that she had only learned this week “that [Rocco’s] got sold.”

“ … I am pretty upset about it because I wasn’t a part of the conversation,” she said. “I know that it’s their decision, they’re the owners, I would have just liked to have known … .”

Brittany said she only found out about the status of Rocco’s/Britt’s after Zack Wickham, her friend and co-star on ‘The Valley,’ sent her a text after hearing the news. Brittany said she believes the owners of Rocco’s “took a hit” during the recent California wildfires and said she understands that they did what they needed to do as a result of that. Still, the former Vanderpump Rules star admitted she was disappointed that “her” bar won’t be opening.

Zack and Brittany, coming to terms with the news about Britt’s. (Probably.)

“ … I was honored to be asked to do it anyway, I was so excited about it,” she said. “I think that that’s why I’m disappointed. And plus, I had talked about it so much and I was so excited. I mean, it was happening and then now that it got sold and I didn’t even know it was being sold, I feel like it made me look like a liar and that’s not the case whatsoever. So, I am pretty upset about it.”

Brittany, who later said in the podcast that it was “embarrassing” having “her” bar deal fall through, claimed that the owners of Rocco’s have “offered alternate things” to her, including possibly “taking over a couple of nights at Jax’s and maybe changing the name,” but she has yet to agree to anything. (As you may remember, some of Brittany’s friends/‘The Valley’ castmates created signage and swag for Britt’s last summer, rebranding Jax’s Studio City for one night following the couple’s split.)

“ … I have so many amazing things coming up and I’m going to have so many other opportunities,” Brittany told listeners this week. “And I’m grateful that they wanted to do that with me, but I’m kind of hurt by how it went down.”

According to The Sun, new management has taken over the Rocco’s Tavern location in West Hollywood and the current managers claim that the deal with Brittany was terminated prior to them getting involved with the establishment.

“Britt’s WeHo was never part of the deal with a new team taking over and they do not have any plans to open it in the future,” a source told the outlet. “The deal was terminated before they were involved at all. It wasn’t their call and had nothing to do with Brittany.

“Unfortunately, she just got caught in the crosshairs of a business decision,” the source added.

Meanwhile, a watch party for ‘The Valley’ Season 2 premiere is being hosted April 15 at Jax’s Studio City.
