‘Jersey Shore’ Star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi Reveals Cervical Cancer Diagnosis; Plans to Undergo Hysterectomy

Jersey Shore Family Vacation star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi revealed on Friday that she has been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer.

“[This is] obviously not the news that I was hoping for, but also not the worst news because they caught it so early– thank freaking God,” Nicole shared in a TikTok video.

Just last month, Nicole encouraged her followers to keep up with their gynecological appointments, revealing in an emotional TikTok that her doctor had “found cancerous cells at the top of [her] cervix,” which would require her to undergo further testing, according to Us Weekly.

Nicole, shortly after arriving to her appointment…

On Friday, Nicole shared that she had received the results from her “cone biopsy”– a procedure in which doctors take deeper layers of cervical cells for testing, according to the Mayo Clinic– which confirmed that she does have Stage 1 cervical cancer.

“ … I’m literally telling you guys to get your pap smears done,” Nicole said in her video. “I’m 38 years old, I’ve been struggling with abnormal pap smears for like, three [or] four years now and now look at me. And instead of just putting it off because I didn’t want to go and it hurt and I was scared, no, I just went and did it and it was there– cancer is in there, and it’s only Stage 1 and it’s curable … well, if I do all the things it can be curable or gone, I don’t know.

“So get your appointments done, b*tches,” she continued.

While looking over her appointment notes in her car, Nicole explained that the cone biopsy indicated that the cancer hasn’t spread throughout her cervix; however, she said there is still a possibility that it could’ve spread elsewhere her body. Her next step, she said, will be to undergo a positron emission tomography (PET) scan.

“That’ll detect if the cancer [has] spread, if it’s anywhere else in my body, like the lymph nodes and all those things, so that’s the next step,” Nicole explained. “And then after that, I’m gonna probably get the hysterectomy, because the oncologist said, ‘You can either do chemo, radiation or the hysterectomy.’ Obviously, I think the smart choice here is the hysterectomy.”

“I’ll still keep my ovaries, which is a good sign … ,” she continued, adding that she may ultimately end up having lymph nodes removed, depending on the results of her PET scan.

The mom of three admitted that “2026 is not panning out how [she] wanted it to,” though she reiterated that things could be “very much worse.”

“ … even though it’s not the news I wanted to get and I still have to do further things to get rid of this, I just feel like it’s very common in women … ,” she said.

Nicole went on to encourage anyone going through the same experience as her to reach out in the comments, while also thanking those who had already done so on one of her other videos or by DM, claiming that these stories inspired her to open up publicly about her own health.

“ … I didn’t know I was gonna let you guys know, because it’s a very personal thing,” Nicole said. “But also, seeing all these other brave women talking about it and making TikToks of it and making me and other women … feel seen and feel like we’re all going through this together makes it so much better, because you’re not alone and you’re not scared … .

“I’m gonna continue to be vulnerable and let you guys know what’s going on and that’s that,” she added.

In a follow-up video, Nicole told her fans that, despite how calm she appeared in her initial video, that is not the case.

“I had a mental breakdown and a midlife crisis!” she insisted, adding that the week or so after getting her diagnosis she was “a freaking mess.”

“Like, in the shower, falling to my knees, water spraying on me and I’m hysterically crying like it’s in a movie,” Nicole said. “… I was bed-rotting, I was crying myself to sleep, OK?”

Nicole said she also decided to “treat” herself because she was sad, and spent “a ton of money,” something she says is very out-of-character for her.

“And now I’m a brave bitch!” she added.
