After posing on the red carpet with his castmates at Thursday’s final season premiere event, Jersey Shore Family Vacation star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was allegedly prevented from participating in interviews because he was intoxicated, The Sun is reporting.
“Ronnie was too messed up to do any interviews,” one source told the outlet, explaining that, “He took photos on the carpet at the start, but then he was taken away while everyone did the press line.”
The source then added, “Ronnie was wasted, so the team made the decision not to let him talk to anyone.”
While the rest of the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast went down the press line, Ronnie was made to stand in a doorway away from the press, that source told The Sun. A second source confirmed to the outlet that reality TV veteran was “messed up” at the event but didn’t provide further details.
The red carpet event wasn’t the first time Ronnie was pulled from press interviews promoting the final hurrah for the ‘Jersey Shore’ crew. Earlier on Thursday, Complex posted a video showing cast members minus Ronnie arriving for interviews. (Jenni “JWoww” Farley was also notably absent from the Complex interview but her absence hasn’t garnered the same attention as Ronnie’s.)
Fans were quick to notice that Ronnie was missing from the Complex interview and the red carpet press, and commented about their concern for his well-being.
“Is Ronnie OK? He looked really drained. Praying for whatever he’s going through,” one fan commented on a post from the official ‘Jersey Shore’ Instagram account about the red carpet event.
Someone replied, “They posted more photos on their Insta stories and he just looks bad. Like something is wrong. We love Ron and just want the best for him.”
A longer conversation happened in another ‘Jersey Shore’ Instagram post with pictures from inside Thursday’s event, with some speculating that Ronnie may be struggling after his recent breakup from secret longterm girlfriend Kristen, a split that required Kristen to call the police to help her collect her belongings from Ronnie’s home, as The Ashley reported earlier this month.
“I seen him & his gf just broke up so he’s probably going through it,” one fan commented.
Ronnie has yet to comment on Thursday’s event and his being pulled from interviews. He spent time in rehab for alcohol dependency in 2019 and stepped away from ‘Jersey Shore’ in 2021 to seek mental health treatment. Three years later, Ronnie returned to the show.

I really don’t get why some people in other platforms are so willing to give Ronnie a free pass or excuse for every terrible thing he does. He is one DV incident away from killing someone and never learns anything from the grace he is given.
Oh come on! It looked like he was going on the right track before this. Meh, he will never change. Such a shame for Ariana (I think that’s the name of his daughter with Jenny) Mike needs to have a word with him but as far as I remember, these two were never really close and I doubt rehab would straighten him up.
No matter what you are going through, ALCOHOL (or drugs or whatever substance) is never a solution. Go to therapy, Jesus, it’s better for your liver.

He is 40 years old. Time to stop acting like an irresponsible frat boy. How many times has he been arrested for domestic violence now? He is a father. Does he really want his daughter to get with someone like him?
He got clean and sober then the MTV gravy train returned.
