Amanda Conner recently told police that her husband, Ryan Edwards, has allegedly been physically abusive to her in the past, and now Amanda’s sister Ashley is coming forward with more (alleged) claims of the “Teen Mom” star’s physical violence, including a recent incident in which Ashley claims Amanda almost died.
As The Ashley reported on Monday, Amanda called the police to ask for an assist to retrieve her things from Ryan’s house, noting in the call that Ryan “has a history of physical abuse towards [her].” That call came one day after Ryan called the police on Amanda to inform them that Amanda hadn’t slept for two days and had taken off with their daughter Presley in her car, and was allegedly driving high. Amanda was arrested Sunday on charges of DUI, child abuse and more.
Anyway, Amanda’s (look- and sound-alike) sis, Ashley, hit Facebook on Monday and Tuesday to post a series of videos giving more details about Amanda and Ryan’s volatile relationship, as well as their sobriety status. She also opened up about alleged acts of violence that Ryan has committed against Amanda over the course of their relationship.
“I did just wanna get on here and clear up a few things … in this whole situation involving my sister Amanda Conner and Ryan, y’all definitely don’t have the whole story,” Ashley stated. “There are large, like, very crucial elements to the story, to the situation, and not just that night … there’s large pieces of information missing that y’all don’t know about or whatever, because they were not brought to your attention…”
Ashley went on to explain what she says happened that night between Ryan and Amanda.
“I’m not taking up for Amanda, because you know, I’m not taking up for that at all, but I was on the phone with Amanda, she called me,” Ashley said. “[Ryan and Amanda] had got into it. They have been getting into it a lot here lately, and even to the point of him being physical with her, whooping her [a**], choking her out…
“… I mean, it was a couple of months ago and he about killed her,” she alleged. “I mean, choking her out, whooping her a** and everything. [He] about killed her and y’all don’t know about that because she didn’t call the police.”
Ashley added that she believes Amanda “probably definitely should have” called the police because “she thought that her life was going to end.”
“She lost consciousness multiple times and continued to be choked and strangled,” Ashley said.
This is not the first time it’s been alleged that Ryan has gotten violent with Amanda. Earlier this month social media creator Rei Clarke admitted during an online spat with Ryan and Amanda that Amanda had previously sent her a few photos in which Amanda was sporting a black eye and that Amanda had told her that Ryan had been the one who gave her the black eye.
In addition, Ryan’s ex-wife Mackenzie has also accused Ryan of domestic violence numerous times. In a petition filed in 2024 for a protective order (which was eventually granted), Mackenzie stated that Ryan repeatedly got violent with her and made threats against her, sometimes in front of their children. She also accused Ryan of throwing her down, threatening her with weapons, slamming her against a wall, throwing nicotine in her eyes, and committing other violent acts.
In the same series of videos, Amanda’s sister also stated that she feels it’s “unfair” that Ryan is being presented as a hero for calling the cops on Amanda, seemingly to protect Presley.
“ … first of all, that was so low-down of him to make that phone call, to call the police and get them involved in their stuff,” she said. “That’s so low-down. The phone call was not even placed out of concern for Presley’s well-being. That phone call was placed because it was a power
control move thing.”
When addressing whether or not she believes Ryan is still sober, Ashley stated that she doesn’t think so.
“I have a strong feeling that everything done in the dark is about to– will come to the light,” she said. “And I will say, there are no innocent victims– there are no innocent adults in this situation, scenario, case, so let’s get that clear.”
In another video, Ashley continued to hint that she believes that if Amanda is using again, so is Ryan.
“There are no innocent bystanders in that situation,” she said. “They’re right there, hand-in-hand; they are husband and wife, they live together. I mean, they’re both addicts so take from that what you will … I’ll say that, that no, these assumptions that because he called the law that he is sober, that is a completely false narrative. That’s not true at all.”
She did state that there was a period of time where Amanda and Ryan— who met while both were attending court-ordered rehab— were happy and healthy.
“They were doing good for a good year-and-a-half [to] two years that I know of,” she said. “They were doing good, and when I say doing
good, they were taking care of business, doing what they were supposed to be doing, sober– everybody was sober … .”
As The Ashley previously reported, Ryan’s mother Jen Edwards appears to be caring for the couple’s one-year-old daughter Presley, whom Amanda is currently not allowed to have contact with, due to the restrictions placed on her for her release from jail.

Well after seeing the unhinged stuff he did when Mackenzie left him, I have no trouble believing he’s abusing Amanda too. That’s not something people just change because they jump into a new relationship. Doesn’t excuse what she’s done and is accused of doing, just adds another sad layer to a sad story. They’re both terrible people and everyone saw this coming the second the trashy rehab couples pics hit social media.
When will Chattanooga/ Hamilton County Tn, arrest Ryan for serious Domestic abuse and strangulation, plus take into acocunt his previous same types of domestic violence.

I’d say the majority of people aren’t on either side.
Is he abusive? Yep. Is she abusive? Yep. Are they both remarkably toxic? Yep. Have both demonstrated bad judgment, and seemingly intoxicated behaviors for the camera lately… Yep. Should either party have their kids? Not in my opinion.
Do we believe they are going to try and weaponize the court system to “win” over the other? YEP.

A few things- First, I feel like if Ryan got physical with her, she would fight back. Not that anyone should ever get physical with anyone because they are being pushed but I could totally see Amanda pushing him to the point of no return. Second, regardless if Ryan has relapsed or not, he did the right thing. I also personally think he likely has not relapsed or at the least was not using at the time this happened as I would think he wouldn’t want to bring attention to himself either. If he was using, I feel like he would have gone a different route in this whole situation. Plus, Based on seeing him on social media, and compared to the past- I just think he’s probably not using- drugs, anyway. Personally also I don’t give a rats ass if him calling the cops on her was a “power-move” or whatever- it needed to happen and thank God he called. Third, while I’m really glad Presley is fine, I feel SO badly for Brandon- Really, she JUST got him back. You can’t just do this to a child over and over. He’s old enough to know exactly what is going on and now her actions are going to lead/led to him being uprooted again, watching this not only unfold, but now, publicly. I hope he goes to someone that truly loves and cares for him, hopefully within the family, and if Amanda ever gets to a point where they’d give her custody again, I hope he’s old enough to chose not to be with her again. No child should have to be on the rollercoaster that is an erratic using addict parent. One mess up? Okay. But after that, I just think it’s too risky for the child to go back. IN no way am I saying Ryan is some stand up dude- he’s made PLENTY of mistakes and I personally think he’s a POS but as a recovering addict, I just feel like he’s probably still clean and I hope it stays that way. As far as Amanda goes, I hope she gets help and it sticks. I cannot imagine losing my children… I think Amanda is being pretty petty and acting like an actively using addict who is just out of control, blaming others for their issues and all of sudden now, he’s abusive. He probably has been but the only reason she’s saying anything is because she feels he got her in trouble. Of course, her sister is going to try to defend her too. I feel like also he’d be more into the whole drama of it all if he was actively using too. Maybe I am wrong- I hope I’m not but i wouldn’t put it past him
This is a situation where neither one of them is innocent, unfortunately. Amanda has made it pretty clear with her behavior as of late, and her losing her job for refusing to take a drug test, that she’s most likely relapsed. Relapses are a part of recovery for some folks, sadly. She seems to have a good support system, between her family and even Ryan’s family, she got custody back of her son, she has Presley now, she seems to be a very likeable and smart woman, hopefully she can and will get some help, stick with it, and realize what she’s risking. People are out here cutting meth (her DOC) with Fentanyl and all sorts of bad s**t,I hope for her kids sake that she will get through this alive and sober.
Ryan has a history of abuse allegations, he put Maci, Mackenzie, his kids, and his parents through different kinds of hell, especially when he was in active addiction. We have all seen Ryan when he’s using his DOC,which is heroin. If you want to call it based on his behavior and appearance in the Tik Toks Amanda posts or the pictures Amanda and Mimi Jen post, I honestly don’t think he’s relapsed and is using. But you never know what is going on behind closed doors. I think Ryan’s biggest problem is that he’s extremely abusive. That sucks for obvious reasons, I was really rooting for him and Amanda and I had hoped that they would make it and continue on a positive and sober path. With zero abuse,zero drugs, just embracing the sober life together.
My feeling is that they got into a massive fight and Ryan accused Amanda of being high and demanded a drug test to prove his accusations. Amanda, probably high as a kite and angry for being called out, took off with Presley, and Ryan called the cops, most likely to get her into trouble because he was pissed off. She gets arrested, he calmed down and decided to bail her out, they go home and get into it again, and then she calls the cops on Ryan, most likely out of spite and throws around a serious accusation like him abusing her knowing that with his history, the cops wouldn’t quickly write it off as an angry wife trying to hurt her husband because he had her arrested. Has Ryan abused her? Possibly. But absolutely nothing about Amanda Conner Edwards has shown me that she wouldn’t whoop his ass right back if he ever laid hands on her.

She seems smart and likable to who??! She’s showed up with a completely nasty attitude, harassing Mack, making sh!tty comments, and obviously was never completely sober. She has a son who she’s only parented for a year or so of his 12/13 years because she’s been high for almost the entire time.
Don’t get me wrong. Ryan probably did get violent with her. He has a history of that. And when Mack pointed that out, Amanda led the charge in mocking her and claiming it was all a lie.
They’re both toxic and were never fully committed to sobriety. They’re just bad people even when they are sober. Unfortunately, there are a bunch of kids involved.
The comments blaming the father who cared about his baby trapped with a drunk/high mother driving who chose to flee at 2am with the baby is wild. Also the same addict previously and recently in two auto accidents where she minimized someone having injuries and lied aboit relapse. She had no physical abuse on her, she made no statement of the same until the next day, her sister posts allegations of abuse to try to deflect blame and accountability from the mother… I hope she loses custody and is never allowed unsupervised visitation with the child again. You people are weird trying to defend this behavior wwhen a baby was put in danger through the thoughts of a drunk/high birther – a mother does not putt her child(ren) in danger and if she chose to put up with physical abuse and pretend to be a happy family that is on her. Consequences are not optional.
Yes. That was exactly the point. Amanda wants to take the heat off herself, take the blame off herself, wants to gain pity and make Ryan look like the bad guy. That’s so typical of abusive people. She may be telling the truth about past abuse, but it makes it really hard to know whether she is or isn’t when she only brings it up to deflect. And her sister is like an exact replica of Amanda. So I wouldn’t trust her anymore than I trust either. Ryan has a history of domestic abuse but Amanda knows that too. We’ve seen her be plenty petty. She has no shame in her game. So it’s hard to know if she’s telling the truth or just using bus past to deflect from her current situation.

I don’t doubt Ryan has or is being abusive. That being said, for Amanda’s sister to be so flippant about why he called the police… the why doesn’t matter. Clearly she’s on something and could’ve easily hurt that baby.

If ryan is or has been abusive to Amanda is highly likely given his history but I would bet money on it being mutual combat between these two. But isn’t Rhines DOC heroin? And Amanda’s is meth? You’re either one or the other. Up or down. I can’t see Rhine taking meth with her? And she’s hyper when sober so it might’ve taken him some time to notice if this has been going on a month or two. Maybe he got physical trying to contain her? Or stop her using? Either way, not cool. But I also know my methhead brother makes shit up when he’s using. Tells other peoples stories as his own. And we know Amanda had a weird obsession with Mack so maybe in her methed up brain she thinks it happened to her?

To say that about Ryan calling the cops was just… no. Kinda proved she doesn’t care about Presley at all. Whether it was a “power move” or not. Ryan did the right thing. I hate assuming things but maybe he started having second thoughts and that’s why he bailed her out. They both didn’t look happy at the gas station so they probably went home where they fought and Amanda left; calling 911 to help her get her belongings. I really don’t think he relapsed and his parents have Presley because Amanda is forbidden to be around her.
We know Presley is safe and I hope Brandon is as well. I hope they both get help so they can continue to be in those childrens’ lives. There’s 4 children who love and care about them so much.
I believe Ryan is violent with Amanda as he was with Mackenzie. Another ex, Dallas came forward after Mackenzie said Ryan was abusive and she said she was also abused by Ryan.
I don’t care why Ryan called 911. Presley needed to be protected. What is confusing is that Ryan bailed Amanda out of jail and there is a video of her and Ryan walking together to a gas station. After that she called about Ryan.
I don’t think either one are sober and they haven’t been for a while. She may very well lose custody of her son again. She got fired from the rehab place she worked at because she refused to submit to a drug test. I feel bad for the kids in this situation.
