Olivia Plath Says Former Mother-in-Law Kim Used to Tell Their Church She Was Going to Get Breast Cancer as a Result of Olivia’s Behavior

“It’s time for a trip down Kimmy’s unhinged memory lane…”

Olivia Plath– the former wife of eldest Plath son Ethan– took to TikTok recently to share a shocking (and frankly, completely unhinged) story about her former mother-in-law Kim Plath asking people in churches to pray for her, as she allegedly feared that she would get breast cancer as a result of Olivia’s behavior.

No, seriously…

The former ‘Welcome to Plathville’ star– who split from Ethan in 2023 after five years of marriage– took fans on this wild trip down memory lane while reacting to a recent video her mother-in-law posted to Facebook in which Kim discouraged people from making “rude” comments to those they don’t like or agree with.

“Unless you really, REALLY have to, of course…”

“ … If you don’t like someone, you don’t need to comment, just move on,” Kim told fans in a video that Olivia cut back to multiple times throughout her own video. “Please, I mean, if nothing else, do it for you. It doesn’t help to stew in negativity all day long and that’s really who you’re hurting at the end of the day. It really reflects poorly on the person that’s doing it.”

In response to Kim’s unsolicited PSA, Olivia asked fans, “Is this the same lady who disapproved of every single thing about my life, disliked me so much, wouldn’t shut up about it, and judged me to hell and back for it?”

“Did Kim fall and hit her head on Ken’s dusty jukebox?!”

“Where was this whole, like, ‘live and let live’ philosophy then?” she continued, obviously referring to the extremely problematic (and at times, very toxic) relationship she had with the Plath Family– specifically with Ethan and Kim.

Olivia cut back to Kim’s video to show the mom of 10 encouraging people to “extend grace” and “extend love” to one another, before cutting back to herself to tell fans that the lady preaching about kindness in that social media video is the “same lady that went to multiple churches in South Georgia and said from the stage– while I’m sitting there– that I was gonna give her breast cancer.”

“You seriously can’t make this crap up, guys.”

“This lady, who judged me so much when I was 20 years old … she judged me so much for wanting to charter my own life and be my own pilot,” she claimed.

Olivia explained that at the time, she would often join the Plath Family when they would play music at different churches in Georgia, as she wanted to support her then-husband Ethan. During this period, however, Oliva claimed that anytime she would “fight back” or “try to have control” of her own life, Kim would use these church gigs as an opportunity to shame Olivia while making a huge scene.

“ … I would be sitting on the pew right there while [Kim’s] wailing and sobbing on stage at these churches saying, ‘Please pray for me, I’m gonna get breast cancer because of my daughter-in-law,’” Olivia recalled. “She would tell everybody that breast cancer is caused by stress and grief and distress in your life and I was the one causing it and I was going to cause her to get breast cancer.

“…but I have no issue looking completely and utterly unhinged in front of multiple church congregations around South Georgia.”

“ … anytime she would try to guilt me into allowing her to control me, that was what she would use, like, ‘You’re gonna give me breast cancer,’” she continued, later adding, “What the f**k?”

Olivia’s TikTok went on to cut back to another clip from Kim’s Facebook video, in which Kim called herself “a nice person” for choosing not to post screenshots of mean comments she’s received online.

“Genuine question, is the nice person in the room with us?” Olivia said in response to Kim’s claim. “And how do you feel about yourself now that you’ve decided to live free and you judged me and said such nasty things about me? Or should I play the show back?”

Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt personally victimized by Kim Plath…

Before concluding her TikTok, Olivia cut back to her former mother-in-law’s video a final time to show Kim telling fans, “We need to do better.”

“All in favor of her setting the example of that, raise your hand,” Olivia said. “I would like an apology letter in the mail. You can reach out to me and I’ll give you a fake address so that you can’t actually hurt me, but you can send me a letter.”

  1. Anything to stay relevant. If I was her boyfriend I would want to know why she still cares so much about these people who she claims to dislike so much.
